Camping and Public Parks
CampingThe City of Mondovi has 6 campsites available in Tourist Park offering electrical and water hookups.  Honor system fee of $10/night ($60/7 nights).  Sites are available on a first come first served basis.  RV waste dumping available at the Mondovi Treatment Plant M-F 8am-3pm. Most of the public parks in Mondovi have picnic areas available and park shelters for special events.  Buffalo County as a whole has more than 200 campsites available and numerous picnic areas.

The Buffalo River State Trail passes through Mondovi offering a safe and scenic place for snowmobiling, horseback riding, ATV riding, hiking and biking.  The 36.4 mile multi-use trail runs from Mondovi to Fairchild, Wisconsin and passes farms, woods, hills, marshland and the Buffalo River. Several other multi-purpose recreational trails are located near Mondovi including the Red Cedar State Trail, Chippewa River State Trail and Great River State Trail

Tourist Park
Tourist Park offers amenities and attractions for all ages.  Six campsites are available on a first come first served basis. The campsites offer electrical hook ups and sanitary dump is available at the City's wastewater treatment plant on weekdays from 8am-3pm.  Two shelters can be reserved for special events, one of which is a historic log cabin. Tourist Park also has a museum on site that is open to the public.

Mirror Lake Park
LakeMirror Lake Park has a scenic view of Mondovi's Mirror Lake, playground equipment, picnic areas and shelters. A public boat landing is located at the park and an accessible fishing pier accommodates anglers and sightseers of all abilities.

Sharps Point Park
Sharps Point Park is the site of the Mondovi Veteran's Memorial and is located along the banks of Mirror Lake. This picturesque venue also has a picnic shelter that can be reserved for special events.

Joseph Peterson Arboretum
Joseph Peterson Arboretum is a 10-acre natural area that is a fun and educational venue for people of all ages. Hike and enjoy the peaceful tranquility in a lovely setting.  Nearby public park area includes two volleyball courts, playground equipment and a picnic shelter.

Hunting
Buffalo County is nationally recognized as trophy country for Whitetail Deer. Hunting is a popular pastime for residents and visitors throughout much of the year. Besides bow and gun deer hunting seasons, many enjoy hunting turkey and waterfowl in the area, also. Mondovi and the surrounding area is a hunter's paradise with rugged woods and bluffs and healthy animal populations. Farmers Markets
Several area vendors provide Farmer's Market type roadside markets for farm fresh produce and flowers during the spring, summer and fall.  A local Farmer's Market takes place on Saturdays during the growing season at the Roger Marten Community Center parking area.Rodeo

Music Festival
Bluegrass and Gospel Music Festival takes place just outside of Mondovi each summer providing a family fun event for music lovers of all ages.

Rodeo
The Little Britches Rodeo is held in late spring and highlights talented individuals from the Mondovi and many others.The active Midnight Riders (link to www.mriders.com) equine club organizes the event each year.

Garden ClubMarten Center
If you visit Mondovi during the growing season it is hard to miss the lovely landscaping and flower plantings in public areas around the community.  The local garden club plans, provides and maintains these beautiful areas. The club also holds an annual flower show during the Friendship Days Celebration near the 4th of July.

Scenic Drives
Scenic drives through the picturesque countryside around Mondovi are popular with motorcycle, antique car, road bike, hotrod, and tractor enthusiasts.Valley Golf Course

Valley Golf Course
The Valley Golf Course is located one mile north of Mondovi on Highway 37.The nine-hole course is open to the public and welcomes golfers of all ages.  The location of the course nestled in the scenic valley adds to the spectacular experience.

Ice Fishing Contest
A big draw for winter fun is the annual Ice Fishing Contest held on Mirror Lake each February.  Prizes, games, food, beverage, and entertainment give residents and visitors a reason to look forward to winter.

Mondovi Friendship Days
The annual event, sponsored by the Mondovi Business Association, is typically held near the 4th of July and includes food and beverage, parade, entertainment, special events, and fireworks.fireworks

Buffalo County Fair
The Buffalo County Fairgrounds are located in Mondovi and the annual fair takes place at the beginning of August each year.  The fair features a carnival, rides, food and drink stands, displays, judging, contests, music, entertainment and more.  For more information about the fair visit click here.  The contact for the Buffalo County Fiar is the U.W.
